Membership in The Society of Medical Friends of Wine is open to:

• Physician Assistants 

The Society is a nonprofit, educational organization that is headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area, which is where most of its members live and almost all of its activities take place.  We have no chapters or affiliate organizations in other cities.

Membership activities include four educational dinners a year, a Vintage Tour of a selected wine region, a biennial wine tasting, and occasional trips to wine regions of the world. Speakers at the dinners present material concerning current medical research on the topic of wine and health. A Research Award is given periodically in recognition of significant research in the field of wine and health.

The Society welcomes new members.  Applicants for membership must be sponsored by two members and attend one dinner.  We will be happy to respond to your inquiry, put you in touch with members who are in your area, or send you an application.  Please give us the following information:
