65th ANNUAL DINNER MENU
Ritz Carlton
Wednesday 28th. January 2004
Summary of Event: The Ritz-Carlton always provides a memorable event and this was our annual black tie affair. John de Luca, currently Executive Vice Chairman following 28 years as President and CEO of Wine Institute spoke about "The Effects of the Repeal of Prohibition Seventy Years Later". It was noted that Dr. Hilliard Katz has been a member for exactly 50 years and he was presented with an award, as was Dr. Robert Blumberg for the outstanding job he has done over the years in managing the wine cellar and tasting events. There is currently a total of 11 members who joined the society in the 1950's and have kept up their membership continuously. Dr. Marvin Epstein and Dr. Ellen Mack certainly took their Food and Wine Chair duties very seriously and we thank them and all the others for their participation in this past year.
